Flower Beauty’s Easy on the Eyes Long Wear Eyeliner reminds
me a lot of the Stila Smudge Sticks.
I love the Stila Smudge Sticks, so I
am overjoyed at the thought of a less expensive alternative with a slightly
different color range!
They come packaged in, I guess it’s a blister pack? Plastic
holding the product on the cardboard backing – you know what it is! J
When you remove the pencil from the package, it reveals a quote from Drew
Barrymore that says, “You’re putting a good thing out there when you put on
glitter.” I think that’s so cute and it put a little smile on my face. J
There’s not really anything else remarkable about the outer packaging, but it
is pretty and makes me kind of happy to look at it. The pencil itself is in a
skinny white plastic twist-up tube with a cap that closes securely so you
needn’t worry about the cap coming off and the liner destroying everything in
it’s path. I’m not quite sure why I spent that much time on the packaging of an
eyeliner, but there you have it! J It is well
done, so it deserves some credit. Anyway, onward….
I ordered the liner in “Navy” because I don’t think I
currently own any navy eyeliners. I am so
so glad I did because the navy is
stunningly beautiful, while still being subtle enough to wear every day. I love love love this color!!! It is blue, but it is dark enough that it
doesn’t scream “hey, look at me, I’m wearing blue eyeliner!” It’s a nice
subtle, almost-back, navy. So I’m sold on the color, but how about the formula?
As I said, this liner reminds me a lot of the Stila Smudge
Sticks. The pencil itself is soft, but not so soft that it just smushes when
any pressure is applied. It glides on beautifully and is very nicely pigmented.
There is no tugging or skipping and it creates a nice soft line – by soft, I
mean that it doesn’t have overly harsh, sharp edges like some traditional
pencil liners can sometimes create. The liner can be smudged a bit for a minute
or two, but then it is set and it’s not going anywhere for the rest of the day.
It even passes the waterline test!!! It did not budge one bit from my waterline
all day – and I even took a nap with
it on!!! Even the Stila Smudge Sticks do not perform that well on the
waterline! Great formula, great color and affordable; what more could you ask
for?
The Flower Easy on the Eyes Long Wear Eyeliner impressed me
so much that I have ordered one in Black, Brown and Aubergine too! I debated
the Khaki Shimmer as well, but I have a khaki Smudge Stick, which is a
surprisingly nice color btw, and decided that I would hold off on that one for
a bit. I would highly recommend picking up at least one of these eyeliners!!!
Flower Beauty’s Easy on the Eyes Long Wear Eyeliner is sold
exclusively at Walmart. I believe it is currently available only on their
website. The pencils retail for $5.98 and are available in Black, Brown, Khaki
Shimmer, Aubergine and Navy. (I believe they are currently labeled online as
the Raise Some ‘Brows Defining Brow Pencils – look for the shades that begin
with an “EL”, and you’ve found the eyeliners.) I’ve linked them below to make
them easier to find.

Thank you! I am completely in love with this pencil, if that's possible! :) It's been a while since I've found a new eye pencil that really wows me, so thank you so much Flower!!! I hope it's a sign of more wonderful things to come! :)
DeleteI'm really excited about trying Flower Beauty. The staying power of this liner sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteI actually think this stays put better than Urban Decay pencils, yet it still comes off easily with makeup remover - unlike the UD pencils! :)
DeleteI'm ridiculously excited about Flower Beauty too - I think it's because it's been so long since I've felt like I could go to a drugstore and poke around new collections that are cruelty-free.
I hope you do some reviews on your blog too because I'd love to see your thoughts! :)
Looks and sounds amazing! I saw the boxes of modular reset pegs and shelves and new products set out on the cosmetics aisle at Walmart last night, so I'm thinking they're going to set it all up this week. Can't wait to go check it out. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Now I'm getting even more excited! :) Thanks for the update! :)
DeleteI really want to see the actual colors of a lot of products in person, especially things like foundation and concealer. That's hard enough to pick from the bottle, let alone a website! :)
